Clinical Pharmacist,
Menopause Specialist &
Health Equity Advocate
I am a UK Clinical Pharmacist and Independent Prescriber with almost 20 years of experience working in primary care. As part of my NHS role, I run dedicated menopause clinics, supporting women through perimenopause and menopause with evidence-based, personalised care and helping them make informed decisions about their health.
Over the past few years, I have developed a particular interest in menopause education and reducing health inequalities, especially within Black and South Asian communities where menopause is often underrepresented, misunderstood and surrounded by cultural stigma. Through my clinical work, I have seen first-hand how many women feel overwhelmed by their symptoms, are unsure what is happening to their bodies or simply do not know where to find trusted, evidence-based information. I believe every woman should have access to reliable menopause education, regardless of where she lives, her ethnicity or her access to healthcare.
Alongside my NHS work, I am passionate about improving menopause awareness through education and open conversations. I recently delivered an international menopause education workshop in Ghana, providing evidence-based education to women and encouraging conversations around menopause in a community where the topic is often not openly discussed. It reinforced my belief that culturally sensitive, accessible menopause education has the power to empower women and improve lives.
My vision is to make evidence-based menopause education accessible to women from all backgrounds while ensuring that communities historically underserved by healthcare are represented and supported. I am passionate about breaking down stigma, improving representation and helping women feel informed, empowered and confident to seek the support that is right for them.
